Facebook upgrades mobile platform; brings two-way interactions to phones


Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, at a press event at the company’s Palo Alto headquarters today, was quick to squash rumors about a Facebook phone. ”What a novel idea,” Zuckerberg said. “Facebook’s gonna build a phone. Um, no.”

Google Docs may add sync and 'cloud printing' for smartphones


According to reports, the Google Docs source code shows some possible future enhancements to the cloud office suite. Embedded within, the code makes reference to three new features ‘coming soon’, including third-party applications, synchronisation but more crucially, cloud printing.

Yahoo SearchMonkey… the google killer?


I had the great fortune of having the Yahoo SearchMonkey team speak at last nights Refresh Detroit. Prior to the speaking I really did not have the full grasp on what yahoo! was doing and what the SearchMonkey platform really was. However I learned that it has the very real possibility of changing the way people search and the way we, as web developers, great web pages.
